Dos:
- For maximum effect, Rudraksha beads should worn for
the first time doing the prayer/puja/pran-pritishtha/energisation.
- One must take bath with Rudraksha that is called
Rudraksha snaan.
- It can be worn around neck and wrist as jewellery
keeping in mind the astrological influence of different mukhi Rudraksha on
an individual.
- It can be kept in a sacred place like puja room for
worshiping god and goddess and chanting mantras.
- Both women and men of any caste and religion can use
Rudraksha.
- One can wear the combination of all the beads.
- One can also wear a pendant of any specific facet of
beads.
- Clean your mala / beads regularly after an interval of
15 days. Dip in Luke warm water. Keep for about half an hour, remove and
just wipe with soft cloth. Do not rub strongly or use wire brushes. Apply
some mustard oil on the beads by using cotton.
- It should be held in gold, Silver or strong RED / Yellow
thread is fine.
- A man who performs Vedic rituals, chanting mantras,
yajnas etc should wear Rudraksha for to get more fruit.
- People lying at death bed can wear Rudraksha around
neck or an arm to attain spiritual salvation and good fate in the next
birth.
- A man who wears Rudraksha with Pearls, Coral, Crystal, Silver, Gold or other precious stone, takes the form
of Lord Shiva. It is said that the devotee, who worships Lord Shiva in the
form of Rudraksha devotedly, becomes a king in spite of being poor.
- Mala for wearing around neck can be made up of 108
beads or 54 japa mala or can be as small as 27 beads. Kantha mala
should be of 32+1 beads.
- There is a belief that a person who wears
or worship Rudraksha 21 face will have his name and fame spread in the
world for centuries.
It is said that an
ardent devotee of God should wear the crown made of 550 Rudrakshas to be bonded
with his almighty.
Don’ts:-
- Never use a Rudraksha beads that has not been purified
and energized by a ritual called pran prathista.
- One should not wear Rudraksha while sleeping.
- While making sex one should not wear Rudraksha.
- While attending funerals, a person should not carry
Rudraksha.
- A person must never use a Rudraksha mala that has
already been worn for chanting mantras.
- During chanting of mantras, one should not let her/his
index finger touch Rudraksha beads.
- One should not share his/her Rudraksha beads with each
other.
Family members should not keep
interchanging Neck Malas, Japa Malas or Rudraksha beads. The bond created
between a wearer and Rudraksha is very private and hence the wearer must not
share her/his Rudraksha with a third party. But it can be willed and passed on
to the next generation.
